photos {gamecock ladies football clinic}

for the third time, i attended the gamecocks ladies football clinic. it's SO MUCH FUN. love it! this year it was in april, for some reason (normally it is in july). and they held the first part in "the zone" at the stadium, rather than the basketball coliseum. you can all of the photos here. melissa and brigitte went with me and we learned about football, got lots of autographs and ran onto the field to "2001", just to name a few of the highlights.

Back in April, the whole family went out to the Dalton Help Foundation golf tournament to help out. OK, so Coleman didn't do much, but the rest of tried to help :)

Spencer and the girls had a GREAT time on the golf cart - Matt somehow became the driving chaperone. It's a miracle he lived to tell the story.

matt and i celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on april 14th

a long time ago, i started labelling wine & champagne corks from special occasions (got the idea from a magazine). when i went to put this year's in the kitchen drawer (where i dump them until i move them to their permanent spot), i saw that the last two anniversaries were still in the drawer (so much for "temporary" storage). i thought it was cool to have three in a row like that!

my kid is the cutest, but colton's pretty darn handsome too, don't ya think?

Some baseball pictures of Spencer... a few snapshots from the first couple of games and his professional portrait. He's done a great job pitching this season! A few more games left and then the playoffs start.

LOM layout {matt & spencer}

I completed this layout yesterday as an LOM assignment. It felt SO good to do this. First, I went to the "Who's Your Daddy" tab in my Category Drawers. I already knew what pictures I wanted to use of Matt and Spencer. But as I flipped through the photos, I was totally inspired by so many photos of Spencer in Matt's lap over the years (and I actually had a ton more than what is shown here). So, the basis for the layout totally changed.

What I love about this layout, thanks to LOM:
- It was 100% based on what inspired me at the moment
- It's all about the pictures and not product or design
- I was able to get my hands on the photos in a matter of seconds
- The page only took 30 minutes to put together.
- I used random bits & pieces of old embellishments and scraps
- It captures a relationship over the course of several years, not just a single moment in time.

LOM layout {I had no idea}

Yesterday I completed this layout as part of last week's Library of Memories class assignment (create a layout for our "All About Us" album). There are two awesome things about this layout that LOM made possible. First, I was able to easily grab these photos from my storage binders and they were already printed (saving me a substantial amount of time). Secondly, I actually scrapped photos that were only a couple of months old. I would've never done this before because of the guilt attached to all the older photos that haven't been scrapped yet.

The concept for this page has been floating around in my head for the last several weeks. I found that everytime I thought about Coleman, my thoughts began with "I had no idea...". I've had a really hard time finding words to capture how I really feel about my son and motherhood - it's just so beyond words. Listing out these "I had no idea..." thoughts that have been consuming me was the closest I could come. layout {spencer and cooper}

i created this layout today (sort of). it was actually a make-n-take from the dhf crop last september. i had time to get all the pieces together, but not complete the layout. today, i pulled it out and finally put it together. i know it's a bit girly for a picture of spencer, but oh well!!

{coleman's baby book}

My sister Michelle made me a super cute carousel-style album to document Coleman's first year. This is basically going to serve as his "baby book" - where all the facts and snippets of his first year will be recorded, accompanied by a few photos from each month. I will also being doing a full-sized album in addition to this, but this is his **baby book**, so to speak. Anyway, last weekend I was able to catch it up for the first two months of his life. I went ahead and filled out the 2 months info (last page below), but didn't want to add pictures until his 3rd month was actually complete so I could choose from all the pictures available.
