{grocery challenge update}

i have bad news. less than a week into the grocery challenge, i've already blown it. the main reason was timing. the shopping that i did on monday would've normally been done on sunday and therefore wouldn't have been counted in this first week. there are only so many times when i can shop alone, so i have to take advantage of them, regardless of whether the timing works with this silly competition. so....i'm out :( but i'm going to continue to keep track of my spending for kicks. i have a feeling that it will end up being $75/week, just on a different division of days.

how'd it happen?
monday 7/13 - spent $44 @ bi-lo
tuesday 7/14 - spent $10 @ food lion
today - hubby bought mcdonald's ($4) + $3.50 @ walgreen's + $22 @ bi-lo + $7 @ food lion
total so far (and the week isn't over = $91.69
